Vision-Aid Launches new Center in Chennai, India
Vision Aid is happy to report that the new Srinivasan-Sundara Vision-Aid National resource centre (VA NRC) at the Voluntary Health Services (VHS) facility in Chennai, was inaugurated on February 1, 2021 evening at 5:00 p.m. by Dr Surendran, Vice Chairman of Sankara Nethralaya, who is an alumni of VHS. The function was very well organized by Vision-Aid partners and hosts (the VHS team).
This is the second Vision-Aid second center in Chennai which will help make an higher impact for the visually impaired people in that region. The first Vision-Aid center is operated in partnership with Sankara Nethralaya in Shenoy Nagar, Chennai. The new Vision-Aid center is in the ground floor of the Ophthalmology Department, in the VHS Campus and has been completely updated in the past 2 months to prepare for the new services.
Vision-Aid would like to congratulate and offer sincere thanks to the generous donors and to the team who have put in a lot of hard work to make this new and exciting milestone possible. Vision-Aid is privileged to work with the very capable team at the VHS led by Dr S Parthasarathy, Dr Ajitha Babu and Ms Devi Udayakumar.
